Welcome to the Southern Region Community College
Notes from the EO’s Desk
The Southern Region Community College has serviced the local community for
over 25 years and has earned a reputation for providing both vocational
and recreational courses.
Students can access a fully equipped
computer laboratory with small to medium class sizes trained by qualified
tutors.
Studying at the College will enable you to gain nationally accredited qualifications while, at the same time, meeting new people and making new friends.
Term 2, 2009 brings a number of new courses as well as some of our popular
courses that are in demand each term.
The College will continue offering classes in the Highlands in 2009,
which will extend our service from the Tablelands to the Southern Highlands.

My husband and I moved to the area in 2005 - We live on a small acreage where we care for a few animals and enjoy the four seasons. I enjoy sport and also love to spend time in the garden. A ’tree change’ you might call it as we came from the sea.
Once settled in the area my desire to return to work was enhanced by glancing through a brochure from the Southern Region Community College. Maintaining an interest in financial services I enrolled as a Mature Age student, completing Certificate II in Business. The encouragement of the staff and fellow students at the college made new students like me feel most welcome, this helped to build confidence and self-esteem to take part in the variety of courses that the College offers each Term.
My studies at the College have now allowed me to work in the field of Community
Aged Care which I enjoy immensely.
The College has continued to establish itself, by providing new initiatives
and strong support to community projects. With the understanding of how
the SRCC is committed to supporting the community in learning and development
I became a committee member, which I find most gratifying. The College
motto ’Inform
Yourself - Transform Your Life’ is very true and now has special meaning
for me personally. |
